It’s with a very heavy heart that we have to tell you our
beautiful, amazing little Olga crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday.
It was very sudden which makes it harder to take really, but
we have to take peace in the fact that she died where she loved, doing what she
loved and with her Dad and Troy by her side.
We knew her time with us was going to be shortened with the
recent diagnosis however we didn’t expect it to be 3½ later when we would lose
Olga.
She had been to see Mr Jones our vet for her check up on
Monday night and he had listened to her heart and lungs and said she seemed to
be coping well, he extended the next appointment to 3 weeks and we felt hopeful,
of course she was never going to be cured but we felt we had a bit more time
with her.
So the next day she had gone for a run with her Dad and Troy on
the field, it was a lovely sunny and she was having a brilliant time, she was
happy and running about like a crazy thing, chasing her football and trying to
pinch Troy’s cone, when suddenly she collapsed and died. Her Dad ran over to
see her but as he put his hand on her she closed her eyes and passed. Troy even
tried to rouse her but he couldn’t she’d gone.
She was carried back to the car by her Dad and with Troy
walking by her side.
As painful as this is to write we know she died doing what
she loved, she was happy and her passing was quick, but she has left a massive
hole in our hearts and the house feels very quiet, it was quite clear she was
the noisy one of the two – contrary to what she told everyone on here.
I’ll sign off now.
Lots of Love Olga’s Mum xxxx
